January News

Hello to all of ye, and Happy New Year!

We've got a couple of things to talk about here in January, including gigs, a new original song, and an honourable showing in 2016 on CKUA!

As always, you can find upcoming shows on the Calendar page, but to list them out here:

Derina will be playing solo in Fort McMurray for three nights  (Jan 5th - 7th) at East Village Pub. The full band is in Whitecourt at the Eagle River Casino on Friday, Jan 13th, and in Cold Lake at the Lakeland Inn on Saturday, Jan 14th. On SaturdayJan 21st, the Derina Harvey Trio (Derina, Ed, and Matt) will be playing at the Rocky Mountain Icehouse in downtown Edmonton, and to finish off the month, we'll be in Banff at the Rose and Crown (Tuesday and Wedensday, Jan 24th and 25th), Mugs Pub in Calgary on Friday, January 27th and at The Slice in Lethbridge on Saturday, Jan 28th.

In other news, let it be known that 2017 is a year in which we're undertaking writing more of our own songs. The response we've gotten on the few originals that we have shared (via recording or live) has been fantastic, and so you can expect more of the same! In fact, we'll be posting a video with a brand new song currently titled "The Fisherman's Daughter" to YouTube sometime in the near future!

Finally, we'd like to thank CKUA for the support in 2016 - Rove and Go charted at #65 on their top-played albums list last year, and we hope we can continue to provide quality content for listeners of CKUA and beyond this coming year!

More to come! Hope to see you out at a show!
