Hey, hey, hey kids!!!
We are flat-out busy this month with a gig in Calgary, getting ready for festival season, and of course finishing up the new album!
First things first: We're in Calgary at the Atlantic Trap & Gill this weekend (June 5th and 6th) so be sure to get out to see us - it's gonna be a time! Check out the Facebook event for all the details. Gigs are a little quiet on the band front for the rest of June, but Derina will pop up in a few places in Edmonton before the month is out (see the calendar for more info).
Once July and August hit, look out because we're going to be doing a ton of shows in Alberta and Newfoundland! We're playing festivals in Alberta from Grande Prairie to Fort McMurray (East Coast Garden Party) to Edmonton (Celtic Gathering) to Fort Macleod (South Country Fair) to Sherwood Park (Festival Place). In Newfoundland we're doing shows from Paradise (Canada Day Celebrations) to Dunville (Seven Islands Lounge) to Witless Bay (Puffin Fest) to Marystown (Come Home Year), to Port-Aux-Basques (Come Home Year) and of course, we'll be seeing you downtown St. John's both on George Street Festival Stage and at O'Reilly's. Keep checking the calendar for all the details and any new shows that get added!
Finally, we're in the final stages of process of mixing the album. It's gonna be a good one! Here are a couple of glimpses into the studio - enjoy!
